Clique
How nice do you want it. The audiophile pet on Impex. Patricia Barber guarantees interesting music. This Town (the first song of the LP) but also The In Crowd are not to be sneezed at. The 9 titles are, of course, due to the voice and the interpretation of 9 classics by Barber, but also due to the bass of Patrick Mulcahy and are a pleasure to listen to.
Review
Like Higher, Clique was recorded, mixed and mastered in DXD (352.8 kHz/24bit). The recording was done at the Chicago Recording Company in Chicago in January 2019. The mastering by Bernie Grundman. Pressed at RTI. Just like Higher, you sit in the front row. Or as the special correspondent Susan Stamberg (Jazzlover, NPR) summarizes it: "Listen to THIS one!".
