Mark Turner
Born in Fairborn, Ohio on November 10, 1965, Turner grew up in the small Southern California town of Palos Verdes Estates. Turner played the clarinet in elementary school, followed by the alto and tenor saxophone in high school. You can tell from his playing that he was influenced by John Coltrane and Warne Marsh.

This double LP contains 8 titles. As Turner points out, his music unfolds like a story. On this LP he plays with Jason Palmer (trumpet), Joe Martin (double bass) and Jonathan Pinson (drums).
All compositions are by Turner.
Rating
Solid work from ECM as we may expect. Fairly transparent with a reasonable stage and sufficient detail.
