The Great American Songbook by Carmen Mercedes McRae is a limited double LP, an analog remastering of Pure Pleasure Records, 180 grams. Originally published by Atlantic Recording Corporation in 1972. Carmen McRae is an underrated artist and one of the most influential jazz singers. Her big example was Billie Holliday who was only 8 years older. In the style of other greats like Sarah Vaughan and Ella Fitzgerald. With a great accompaniment of which jazz guitarist Joe Pass is probably the best known.
