Diana Krall
Diana Jean Krall is a Canadian Jazz pianist born on November 16, 1964. In 2000 she toured with Tony Bennet and in 2003 she started a relationship with Elvis Costello. Diana performed many covers, but her collaboration with Costello resulted in The girl in the other room, among others.
I have witnessed Diana live several times. She has a very recognizable voice and way of playing the piano.
Live in Paris
Live recording of Krall's concert at the Paris Olympia in Paris. With the exception of The Way you are. This song is at Avatar Studios, New York. On each side of this double LP there are three songs due to the 45 rpm. Anyone who knows Krall and her repertoire can enjoy the live recording of classics such as The look of love, Devil may care and Fly me to the moon.
Review
The Original Recordings Group has of course used the analogue master tape for this limited, individually numbered edition. The vinyl mastering was done by Bernie Grundman. Fortunately, they opted for 2 times 180 grams and 45 rpm for just a little more information.
You can hear the main hall (this theater can accommodate about 2000 visitors) with just applause, but Krall and her band are present in good detail.
