Curtis Amy
Curtis Amy was born on October 11, 1929 in Houston, Texas and died on June 5, 2002.
He is an American saxophonist. In addition to his own bands, he has also worked with Lou Rawls, Carole King, The Doors and was orchestra leader of the Ray Charles Orchestra for three years.

On Katanga! Curtis Amy plays among others with Dupree Bolton on trumpet and Jack Wilson on piano.
This LP is a reissue of the original 1963 recording. Side A are compositions by Curtis Amy and Dupree Bolton. Side B by Jack Wilson, Raye DePaul and Clifford Solomon.
